How it works

Rotation without blind trust

Stellar Rotate keeps moving your connection, but only across servers that have already been verified by the app.

1Signed

The app receives a signed server list

Rotation starts from the same signed server data used everywhere else in Stellar VPN.

2Verify

The signature is verified in the app

If the signature is invalid, the list is rejected and Stellar Rotate has nothing trusted to use.

3Rotate

The next trusted server is selected

Rotation only chooses servers from the verified list, including the approved hostname, config URL, and hash.

4Check

The VPN file is verified again

The downloaded configuration is checked against the trusted SHA-256 value before the app uses it.

5Result

Rotate only if everything matches

If anything is changed or invalid, the app blocks it automatically instead of rotating onto an unsafe server.

What Rotate works from

The app rotates between verified server entries.

Stellar Rotate does not guess. It works from the same trusted JSON data the app verifies before it connects.

`id`

Identifies a server the app is allowed to rotate to.

`hostname`

Defines the trusted server endpoint for that rotation target.

`config_url`

Points to the VPN file the app downloads only after the signed list has been accepted.

`config_sha256`

Lets the app verify that the downloaded VPN file was not changed before rotation happens.
