Terms & Conditions – Stellar VPN

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Stellar VPN (the “Service”), provided by Stellar Technology AG (“Stellar”, “we”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Definitions

• Account: a user profile optionally created with Stellar ID to manage subscriptions and devices.
• Subscription: a paid or free plan granting time-limited access to premium features of the Service.
• Devices: phones, tablets, computers, or routers on which the Service is installed.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.

4. Account, Plans & Billing

• You may use the Service without an account (anonymous activation where available) or by creating a Stellar ID.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity on your Account.
• Subscriptions may auto-renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel renewal in the app, your account portal, or the platform store where you purchased.
• Pricing, taxes, and available plans are shown at checkout and may vary by region. We will notify you of material price changes in advance.
• Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. Store-purchased subscriptions follow the store’s refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited uses include:

• Illegal activities or violation of third-party rights (including IP infringement).
• Sending spam, malware, or conducting attacks (e.g., DDoS, credential stuffing).
• Attempting to bypass lawful restrictions or export controls.
• Reselling, sharing, or redistributing the Service without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate access to protect users, infrastructure, or comply with law. We reserve the right to block traffic to maintain network integrity.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. We operate a strict no-logs policy; we do not monitor or record user activity. Minimal account data (if any) is processed in accordance with Swiss FADP and, where applicable, GDPR.

7. Service Availability & Changes

• We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• Features, server locations, and plans may change or be discontinued; material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
• Maintenance windows or incidents may cause temporary interruptions.

8. Security

We use modern cryptography and best practices to protect the Service. However, no Internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure. You remain responsible for securing your Devices and using up-to-date software.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Stellar Technology AG or its licensors and protected by law. Except as permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer (where legally restricted), or create derivative works.

10. License

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Service on your Devices for lawful, personal use, subject to these Terms and your plan limits. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

11. Third-Party Stores & Processors

• If you obtained the Service via Apple App Store, Google Play, or other platforms, their terms may apply in addition to these Terms.
• Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers. We do not store full payment card details.

12. Suspension & Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, non-payment, fraud, or as required by law.
• You may stop using the Service at any time. If you cancel a renewing plan, you retain access until the end of the current term.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your needs, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stellar Technology AG and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stellar Technology AG, its officers, and employees from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms.

16. Compliance, Sanctions & Export

You represent that you are not subject to trade sanctions and will not use the Service in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws. We may restrict access in certain regions to comply with law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms to reflect legal, technical, or operational updates. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, provide notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The competent courts of Geneva, Switzerland shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
